RASPBERRIES CARAMEL AND APPLES TURNERS

Ingredients :

- 30 ml (2 tbsp) butter
- 3 Gala apples, peeled and cut into small cubes
- 22.5 ml (1 1/2 tbsp) cornstarch
- 250 ml (1 cup) raspberries
- 1/2 jar of CARAMELS FAA raspberry caramel, 315 g
- 2 frozen 25 cm (10 in) square puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 egg yolk beaten with a little water
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) pearl or confectioner's sugar

Instructions :

1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Cook the apples for 2 to 3 minutes.

2. Add the cornstarch and stir gently. Add the raspberries and continue cooking for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and add the caramel while stirring.

3. Let cool.

4. Cut each sheet of puff pastry into four squares.

5. Divide the fruit mixture into the center of the squares. Brush the edges of each square with beaten egg yolk, then fold one of the points over the filling to form a triangle. Using a fork, press the edges to seal the turnovers.

6. Place the slippers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

7. When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).

8. Brush the slippers with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar.

9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool on a rack.

* If desired, garnish with a little raspberry caramel when serving.
